Hi guys,

Even before i picked up my z4 I had been on the look out for these 18" alloys and have now come to the conculsion that no one wants to sell them as 2nd's (well in a set of 4's anyway  ) So it looks like the girlfriend wont be getting a 2nd holiday this year and im going to buy a brand new set.

Ive come across a few websites and the following appears to be the cheapest http://www.alloywheelsdirect.net/bmw_alloy_wheels/z4_e85_alloys/18_bmw_107_wheel_108

But before i type in my card details do you guys know of any other places that would sell these cheaper?

PS If i do go for these i will probably source the tyres from somewhere else as they seem a little steep at the above

Rich

Just under £200 per wheel...sounds like a bargain to me...buy buy buy ;)

BTW - before you dismiss the prices of the tyres, check to see if the price includes fitting and balancing. If it does, then the price isn't that bad and you won't have the hassle of taking the rims to get tyres fitted and then bringing them back home again and the wasted time etc...

Thanks Jake,

The lack of choice on tyres was putting me off - reading a few of the rft posts, Falken 452's (non run flats) seem to be the prefered choice?

I got my 107's from this outfit a few weeks ago, he isn't exactly chatty but the service was good and the wheels perfect on arrival.

I got them/him to fit a set of Toyo T1R's and I am delighted with the handling and comfort in comparison to the Bridgestone runflats that in my opinion were truly awful, the price charged for the tyres including fitting and balance I thought was pretty fair.

I don't think you will be disappointed!.

PS, They will supply tyres other than the ones mentioned on the web site, send him an email and ask for availability/price.

Hi John,

May i ask how much for paid for the T1R's, fitting and balance?

thanks

Hi, sorry I don't remember exactly, about £400 ish. I bought from him whilst working in Indonesia so was sending emails to him at all hours of the day/night, he was always quick to respond. My first choice was Eagle F1's but he was unable to source the rears in the size required. Drop him an email and he will give you the options and prices available.

Cheers

John

Good choice of wheels  I've just fitted a set of Ellipsoids to mine with Pirelli P Zeros. I'd recommend them, I went for them after looking at some tyre tests and they come out 1st/2nd. I found them to be really good so far with loads of grip, they got a good testing yesterday on the national meet in both soaking wet roads and dry, I was very impressed :D The price on that website is good for them if that's including fitting and balancing, I paid pretty much the same after a lot of searching and negotiating for the best prices

Job done - ordered my #107's with Goodyear Eagle Asymmetric's - a weeks lead time so roll on next Monday (thanks for feedback on AlloyWheelsDirect John)

This leaves my #103's obsolete so will drop them on ebay once i get them swapped out

Fitted and very chuffed with them :)

Cruise Control and Hardtop hoist is next on the list - maybe M Steering wheel at a push
