Just wondering why do you guys use a hardtop? The fabric roof is more than capable of coping with winter, then when you get a nice crisp dry winters day you can't drop the roof, seems a shame to me. I never considered a hardtop when I had both the E85's, in fact quite the opposite.

Not having a pop, just wondering. :)

It's a fair question and I think most of the reasons have been posted already.

For me it's the 2 cars in one, fantastic look of the hardtop fitted and with an electric hoist in the garage I can take the top off in under10 minutes if the sun shines.

For those who park outside, although the hood will of course stand rain, ice and snow, this is the UK and they do get green around the seals and without doubt take a pounding in Winter

I wanted to add some desirable parts to my car, these will only be going in one direction price wise, so worth having IMO. I have it fitted at the moment but it comes off very easy

'Desirable parts' Fred?? you mean you've finally added a stubby :poke: :P

Haven't got mine on yet, so I'll have to make do with a photo from a couple of years back.

Bah Marlon - this thread will only make me more resentful that i just missed out on that lovely €800 minter of a hardtop not long ago!
Still intend to get one at some point as I like the look as well as the 'coupe' feel that it illicits.
Watch this space.....

Here you go big boy

Thanks mate but i'm located in Holland at the mo :|
Plus, i'm on the lookout for a sapphire black one.
Negotiated a deal for one at €800 a while back but couldnt pop down to eindhoven as the zed had developed a throttlebody problem. Seller advised they would keep it for me but didnt want to take a deposit funnily enough.
Sure enough someone sweeped in past me and snapped it up. Drat. :x

Mine went on last week.

Still not sure about the colour, it looked really good on my ti silver Zed but maybe not quite as good against ruby black it's matt black so contemplating either getting it sprayed to match the car or wrapped in carbon fibre

May leave it as is though
