Just watched the first ep in season 2, thank FOOK they have binned off the "American" and the killing celebs, actually getting them on to drive..

However, I never realised they did an F Type Jag, with a 2.0 ltr petrol engine, WTF??

New model. Pretty pokey, evidently. Just doesn't seem 'right' somehow!

But boring by the look (and sound) of it, and not cheap at £53k in R-Dynamic trim..

So subtle how they've used a MASSIVE engine cover to make it NOT look like a 4 cyl and more like a V6/V8 lol...

Sorry, but if I was spending that sort of money, I'd be wanting a V6 or V8..

It's also a bit of a porker @ 1600kg for a 2 seater with a 4 cyl motor..

Mike

The producers must have been reading the forum :D

Massive improvement on season 1 I think, hoping new top gear will also improve!
The cayman, alpine and 4c all have 4pot engines and cost a fair amount too, so why shouldn't the jag?

James May looking a tad overweight. Recent undisclosed hospital visits combined with facial swelling and redness could point to steroid treatment. Hope I am wrong

I noticed that within seconds, but put it down to having been in the USA...

SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!

I enjoyed that. Very little detail about the Hamster's crash though? Car was a burnt out shell, how did he manage to get out, also odd that he went off the road way after the finish line?
I thought May looked unwell too - Clarkson looked unwell, but he always looks unwell :D

I dont think the car would let him brake after finishing ! just seemed odd that it just plowed on after finishing not much information why or how it happend , Look forward to the new grand tour but as some one said it is lacking something !
Not sure what the health spar had to do with anything or why after day one they went back to the same place , a bit ground hog day !

I really did enjoy the show last night. The Lamborghini sound was epic, stuff the the future

I think it's also good that they appear to have listened to feedback and changed things. I think amazon know they have too much money at stake not to listen to the people who effectively pay the wages., ie prime subscribers.

They also seemed to imply that they will now be based in the UK all of the time, possibly another indicator that all may not be right with James?

A week late - but I think the joke was that the Rimac only had a range of 100 miles and there was a charger at the health spa and also in the town that they kept visiting.
No jokes about no steak at the health spa...
Watched the second episode, thought it was pretty good.
Cheers, Dave
