So my daughter is a Entertainment writer/ journalist for PA (the biggest news agency in the uk media) and she gets to do all the press junket for the big films and tv shows (you name a Grade 1 celeb and she's probably interviewed them) and she got some tickets to the press event for the last ever Grand Tour last night in the the Wood land TV centre in London.

Well what a fantastic night.
It’s up there with the birth of the kids and getting married.
It is a fitting ending and quite sad and  there was still some sand from Zimbabwe blowing about.
Ask my new BFF’s Francis and Greg…

Which studio?

It would rude not to help Jezza out with tasting. It was free all evening, so I turned into a bit of a ‘Roy Lanchester’ (Sniff Petrol’s pseudonym in his books).

So enjoy it when it comes out on Friday.
Nothing new or groundbreaking but also no contrived twatting about.

It would be new and groundbreaking if The Grand Tour didn't have contrived twatting about.

I hope they make a good effort of the last episode. They lost their spark a long time ago, but it would be good to go out on a high.

Lancia Montecarlo was a properly cool car which you could buy for buttons at one point. A rare sight these days. Most have crumbled or crashed due to having brakes made of tinfoil, but I’d still love to have one.

P.s. Jolly, that looks like a great night out

They did lose their spark but most fans of TG/ GT just keep watching just in case it was good, I know I did.

I saw Martin Brundle and his son, the Franchitti bro's, Manish Pandey, Johnthan Plamer, Edward Lovett (collecting cars and car dealer) and loads of people I recognised but couldn't put a name too.
So it was a real money can't buy evenings.

[ref]Jollygiant[/ref], having met you, I'm guessing your daughter is probably only about 6'3" ?

Well my wife is 5'2", so therefore the kids are normal height. I think my daughter is 5'7ish" and my son is about 5'10"

The only thing I took from this thread is that Mariella Frostrup is still quite fit for her age.
She has to be over 60, surely? That gravelly voice was always a winner for me.

Edit: I googled her, she's nearly 62. She's a GILF!

I would be up for a night on the lash with Clarkson, though. I reckon he would be great fun.
