The Fun Of Winter Driving - NSFW

  Saw lots of that here with all the snow few weeks back dickheads driving around with 5 inches of snow on the roof until they brake hard  then you get the dickheads i see every frosty morning driving along with the scraping sound of wipers on the windscreen to lazy to remove the ice before they set off :x :x still when they hit a tree and go through the windscreen as most likely dont use a seat belt that should clear a nice hole to look through

Stressy little twerp! He should try driving behind an artic with two/three foot square sheets of 1" ice flying off the top in your face at 60mph! :fuelfire:

hands up, i'm guilty of that
I would say most of us are at one time or another....
However in most of the snowbelt areas here laws have been passed in recent year making it illegal to drive your car/truck without clearing the ice and snow. This is the result of some deaths and injuries from mostly large trucks where huge sheets of ice come sliding off weighing hundred of pounds. Where I live even the local police will stop you if you are driving with snow/ice piled on your roof or if your windows are blocked with snow and ice... :police:

1. Why Leicester specifically?

2. Do you actually know anyone who has been prosecuted and under what legislation?

Popular urban myth that I've yet to see actioned.....the only thing that covers it** is questionable (snow hardly being an "accessory"....I mean in all honesty how is a lorry driver supposed to clear the top of a truck that might be 12-15 feet off the ground?...or a five foot housewife with a massive 4x4?

**Using vehicle in dangerous condition etc.

A person is guilty of an offence if he uses, or causes or permits another to use, a motor vehicle or trailer on a road when —
(a) the condition of the motor vehicle or trailer, or of its accessories or equipment, or
(b) the purpose for which it is used, or
(c) the number of passengers carried by it, or the manner in which they are carried, or
(d) the weight, position or distribution of its load, or the manner in which it is secured,
