Just picked my car up from having a service (inspection 1). However they carried out all the work as on inspection 2 (at my expense, including break fluid).

It wasn't due for another 1000 miles but I have this thing about servicing any car I buy ASAP.

The M was given a clean bill of health, only item I was advised on was out of date tyre sealant, oh and tyres just under 3.5. It was nice to hear the words "it's like a new car" (or words to the effect).

Here's to lots of happy miles!
 
I'm with you here. Always get a new car fully inspected at it's first service - at my expense.

Sounds like you've got a keeper there :)
 
Yes, they said the same to me about the tyre sealant stuff. No way was I going to fork out for a BMW kit just because it was out of date.

I know my tyre sealant is out of date, but not one dealer has mentioned it in the 5 times it's had an oil service or inspection :thumbsdown:

They've also noted in the past that one of my tyres was 4mm all over, but it was one of the ones I'd replaced about a week earlier and was much closer to 8mm than 4mm!

It makes you wonder if they're really any better than the 'Kwik-Fits' of this world :?

This is why mine always has a quick check (by me) before it goes in for a service/inspection - and why I tend to mark items that must be replaced with a blob of silicone or UV pen!

They're not an official product - they're customised by the seller.

It's either take your chance on a reputable US seller (LeatherZ for example) and pay the tax, admin fees, customs charges, postage, etc. or take a chance on one of the ebay ones.

Otherwise you could get the M5 one and simply remove the boot.
