I do a lot of miles for work up and down motorways and there is no point whatsoever in using the M for that. I did for the first year and if I'd have carried on I wouldn't own it now - I wouldn't have thought it special for anywhere near as long as I have.

Each to their own - I get immense pleasure out of mine doing just 2.5k pa in it. I don't care what anyone else thinks.

I'm with you OG - about 3k a year but almost at 40k on mine .

If Jax talks me into Europe next year that figure may rise

x2, I could easily pile 13k per year on mine, but 8-9k of that would be commuting to work, along dull A-roads....I get just as much (if not more, due to the excitement before a hoon) of driving 4-5k per year in her.

If you can keep it for special occasions then that's ace. No issue with that. I don't have the space or money right now for a third car, but I count myself very fortunate to be able to have one of these cars at all, so that helps keep it feeling special between hoons for pleasure. Pretty sure I'll feel special if I ever have to drive it in snow too, though that's a whole different kind of 'special'

Hey Bing, you can not vote in this one as I already did when I owned it - otherwise the count is wrong :D

The count is wrong then :D

Delighted that you're feeling more comfortable about using the past tense now

Have done more miles in the 911 in one month than I did in the M in the year :D

Took a lovely long drive last night, was hoping the football would keep the roads empty - alas not so.

The A285 from Petworth to Chichester, that road was criminally nice though 8)

Been on a couple of lovely long drives myself 8)

And I think I've done more miles in 2 months than you did in 2 years

Reminds me, need to talk to you about the B2 as I can't update it, but I'll send you an email rather than divert this thread...

A285 probably the best road in West Sussex....just mind the farm tractor mud in the winter!

The A285 and A283 (and surrounding B-roads) are great stretches, I'm particularly partial to the stretch of the A272 between the A283 and A285....great undulating sweeping corners.
