The Exclusive Club Maldives II

I joined this forum recently and I am a proud owner of a Maldives blue E85 that I have since nearly 1.5 years :)
I was specifically looking for a 3 liter E85 with manual transmission and hardtop. Didn't know back then there was a Maldives blue Z4 as you don't see them that often, but I really like the color: it gives me summer vibes and it is more of an eyecatcher than the standard grey or black :P

Lovely looking car Mark, with the roof and wheels.

I reckon the Maldives Blue could take a black hard top also, and maybe even a dark grey.

That has to be the worst mashed-up colour combination I have seen - so far anyway! :o

Reading the description they have two Z4's for sale and they will keep the one which doesn't sell.
The other car is a stock face-lift 2.5i. Nothing weird.
You would put money on the other one selling but I think they will be keeping both. The other Zed is up for £7.5k!

I still have mine, unfortunately its in bits at the moment, ongoing underside resto. Poor health episode 5 years ago stopped its progress but hoping to pick it up again this year. Best car I've ever owned.

Very nice. It would be great to see pics of your resto.

Looks like my little one has been here before. Just drove her down from Lincoln. It was a pleasant journey and the engine seemed to roar when given a bit of throttle. She is however in need of a good cleaning so that will be getting some attention tomorrow.

My heart is truly gladdened to see this car returning to the forum. It was my son’s car and the reason that I got into Z4s. It was always quicker than any 2.5i had a right to be and after the bigwinn treatment, has the underpinnings to support it. Welcome.

OMG - two Maldives hardtops on eBay in as many days:

I had an 83 Mercedes 240d which I sold in January and turned around to purchase this beauty. I've put several hundred miles cruising around central Texas. In a few months it'll be too hot to drive with the top down.

Well done sir. Loving the turbine wheels, but can’t help but think you would benefit from some spacers on the rear.

Would like to join this club! Proud owner of this 2004 Maldives Blue 3.0i S auto. Some of you might have seen it on Zedfest last week. It has done more than 200.000 miles so far, planning to add many more to that!

Max, added. Welcome.
Have you met [ref]mMark[/ref], also in Netherlands with matching hardtop? It would be a rare photo opp with two of the same.

Here's my recent acquisition, a 2004 2.2 SE with 72k. It was bought as a bit of a project car, it's been a quick project, and all issues except an oil leak and crazed paint on the top of the front driver's wing have been sorted out. So, like many others apparently, I'm looking for a Maldives blue driver's wing...
