The dreaded airbag light.......again!

Hi folks. I've had the airbag light on for a while now so had a snoop about today and found that the dashboard airbag plug had came off. I disconnected the battery and left it for approx 30 minutes then connected the airbag back up and then the battery. Plugged in the c110 scanner and cleared the codes but it it's now coming up with a new code, 9849 resistance, firing circuit, front airbag, left, stage 1 (E85), or active head restraint, front left (E6x), to low.

I've trawled the tinterweb but can't find anything on this code.

Is there any fault code guru's out there that can shed any light on a fix for this?

Thanks in advance

Andy.

This happened to me and it was a bad connection. Disconnect and reconnect the connector and then clear the codes again.

I'll give it a try when it's dry again. Thanks for the reply.

Been out messing with it again today and I've now got code 9854 :headbang: this is really trying my patience now.

EDIT: Succsess! Turns out the plug on the loom side had a couple of plastic prongs broken off that was causing the code. Had to insert a couple of bits of card into the other side of the plug for the fix. What a great feeling not having that airbag light on now and it cost me nothing but time to sort 😃
