The downside to washing the car

Thanks for the replies everyone, made me feel a little less bad today and booting it on the A50 this evening to blow away a 118d driver who was up my rear end was very satisfying!

This plastidip coating, I assume it is some form of liquid polymer that is sprayed ontop of the paint and laquer? is this something the average bodyshop can do and is it worth it?

Once I am in the house and the money in/ out is stabilised (i am a first time buyer) I will assess the situation, Main prioroty is to get my spare set of 108's refurbished as the ones on the car are awful (almost ashamed to be seen with them).

The trouble with having boyshop repairs (I find) is that when you have small areas of damage spread all over the car it quickly adds up especially when they say they have to start blending it in which means more areas need stripping and painting.
 
Mines also the same, after having my M bumper painted and fitted for only a few thousand miles it's already heavily stone chipped, bonnet is too but I bought it like that, just one of those things if you use it daily.
 
Seems every time I go out in the Zed these days I get at least one loud crack as a fucking stone is thrown up onto the bonnet or windscreen by some fucking white van twat caning the pissing tits off his works van doing 75+ in the fast lane of a 50 zone!

Cunts the lot of them. If I had the time I'd follow the utter bastards and slap them to within an inch of their lives. When I say if I had the time I mean if I was younger... and taller... and not a coward.

But they are still fucking shitehawks who deserve to get galloping cock rot for their stone slinging sins.

My Black 05 3.0 was the same,looked great when washed and waxed,polished...but the downside was this also showed all the stonechips up close. As Bing said,soon forgotten when u go for a blast in it :driving: :D

My Interlagos Blue M is only about 2months back from a full respray and has already managed to pick up 1 or 2 wee chips,but hey-ho..lifes too short to worry about every wee chip
