The dkf exhaust.....Pics page 2

You would seriously have to hate you exhaust system to want to pay this amount on a new system, fabulous stuff but i'll stick with the farting noise coming out of the back of mine.

fair point... im not the guy that makes the prices unfortunately, when you look at say supersprint these prices are in the ball park :-) no-one is being forced into buying im just showing another option......

Lovely looking piece of kit Beedub and I've read the zpost thread as well.

Price will be a big sticking point but if you've got a great modded set-up like yours this system would compliment it really well. I guess the mufflers though aren't anymore expensive than say Eisenmann or the like and the whole system cost is about on a par with the AC Schnitzer set-up. I get the feeling that if this had an Akrapovic badge on it not so many people would question the price. Seems a pity they developed it now though, 6 years after the cars' launch and 3 years after they stopped selling them, because with the used prices of our cars where they are the cost of the system is a high proportion of the cars value. Nevertheless its great companies are developing innovative new products for our cars, long may it continue and I hope they sell enough to encourage them to carry on!

Agree 100% with this

i agree the price is steep, hmmm what to say really,

i was expecting this..... honestly, for me this exhaust is very much the type of product id buy.... i think the work, the craftsmanship and the plain quality speak loud and clear, this car is a car that ive long thrown away sense in terms of monetry gain, hell i dont care in the slightest about retail value or how much i lost, not one nats crap... so i guess this product may not make "sense" to others.

i Absolutely see the points being made :-) Im just trying to bring another option from the states over to us here in the uk, DKF are also just releasing a strut brace that links ALL three of the bracing points under the bonnet :-) this is very much like the sound of :-)

I know what you mean. In a couple of years I'll have a decision to make whether to sell mine and scratch that 997 GT3 itch or whether to keep the M. If I choose the latter I'd probably do as you say and stop worrying about the mod costs and fit something like this because it won't be about resale value/depreciation or anything else because if you don't ever intend to sell it....

Thanks for posting - always good to hear of new stuff for our cars.

Looks lovely, if only I could justify it :(

What exhaust you got fitted currently? Selling that? :)

Looks an amazing piece of performance art, superb infact

Too rich for me though, going to have to live with the BB Bypass Pipe!

as Guvnor said earlier hope that there is enough interest in the system, good luck

i currently have the rpi GT race with SS Xpipe mated to the stock 200 Cell cats.... its ear bleedingly loud, add boost and its borderline uncomfortable....

i look forward to recieving my DKF setup :-) im going with

s-pipe , Race cats, Xpipe, Sport mufflers, Dampened Hangers, Black ceramic coating :-)

i must note the stock exhaust is a very nice setup one of the best stock units ive ever seen.... 200 cell cats as standard and very high quality.

yeah i have the same battle, ive had this car since 2007 when it was made, ive spent a small fortune modding it, and poured every bit of soul and love i have into it.... maybe during a REALLY rough patch in my life the car was almost a saviour to me, i see my vehicle as a one off/rare in terms of its overall condition and build spec, so these parts are in keeping with it in general, would i do this normally??? No way... but for this car....YES....

ill update you guys in due course.... im gutted to see the price is off putting to our uk members and definitely understand and this is something im having to save for... i havent just had the money sitting waiting so i do understand everyones point of view....

so suppose to put an end to this long post, im just glad someone is producing new parts for a model that doesnt get much love in the after market :-)

Is there a big weight saving with the DKF Beedub?

overall the dkf setup looks to save around 1/2 the stock setup so the gains are good but most gains are in the mufflers which are just that heavy its stupid....

Hi guys just to let you know the dkf unit is 30lbs lighter than stock. A huge saving imo :-)

ok now the money shot... DKF are watching this thread and ive had word they are working with other products to try and get the price down...

bear in mind a group buy could further reduce prices !!!!! Wahooooo

Is their anybody interested in a group buy depending on pricing??

this is an exhaust that offers proper adjustability, proper quality, perfect fitment every time and solid gain will be shown when the final dyno tests are done, the Tip protrusion has also been tweaked from the proto-type setups and is now perfected..

this has proper o'2 bungs, EGT sensor bungs as per the stock locations, want a diffeent setup for the track???

how about being bale to bolt off your cat pipe to decat section in 5 mins??? a real possibility with the quick clamp setup...
im pretty passionate about this really.... i very excited we have a company bringing us new products....

guys the dampened hangers, which cut drone/vibration and allow real fine tuning of the position and height of the tips and get it perfect are being run in a GB shortly.... solid discounts on these will be offered and more importantly they work with any exhaust setup including stock..... this basically allows you to perfect the position left to right of the tips and the up and down position..... is this something anyone would be interested in??? Again part is to be used with any exhaust from stock to whatever.... i see on stock it may be pointless but with anyone with an aftermarket setup will be really able to finetune their exhaust position and cut some drone / vibrations....
