I'm sure someone will rip me for this comment, but I have never heard of an engine without a dipstick

its common place now-days, unofrtunatly the bmw versions seem to be rather inaccurate, i overfilled my 130i Many a time due to the computer showing me a LOW oil level when it was infact brimmed!!

Bring back the dipstick.... and then I can get one of those nice shiny ones :D

Looks great Beedub

How did you find out about the overfilling if the computer thought it was ok?

Very bad engineering practice, especially with something as important as engine oil, I know alot of aircraft have this system but many users ask for a sight glass as well

hasn't it still got one behind the steering wheel :exitright:

I'd like to say no, bot your probably so right :(

Looks like I will be able to pick one of these up next month. I'll be spending a couple weeks in Florida. I'm guessing if I order a couple more to bring back with me, there will be interested buyers?

im sure you'll sell these no probs...... the only problem is they now have run out of current batch and are awaiting a new production run...... they sold like 70 in a huge us group buy..... maybe drop them a mail before people get excited and your unable to to get you hands on these.
