The correct tape for refitting door membranes..

Ok,

So after bmw saying "we don't supply a tape, the techs use their own" followed by a chat with Ross, who said that was bollox, and gave me a part number.

Then spoke to bmw again who said it was superceded, but they had the new one on the shelf..

So this is the correct one apparently, about £15 plus vat and enough to do both doors..

Glad you got sorted Mike..

It must of superseded recently as I got the number off the roll we use and it's not that old.
 
When I looked at it I assumed the butyl had been put on with a gun type device, it was a real pain delicately working it off to remove the membrane but it stuck back ok - is the tape the replacement alternative?

The tape is the same as the factory use I believe.
