Not sure what the deal is with Akrapovic, love their bike systems though. The car systems don't look too shabby either...
Evolution exhaust system for BMW M3 (E90, E92, E93)
Maybe this could be something for BMW to add to their Subaru style approved products list?

Yes, despite a bike being far quicker in acceleration and top end it just cannot compete on the brakes and or corner speed, even more so when it started raining.
