The bumper fell off.

Says it all really. Having a lovely morning bombing about running a few errands, and it went donk, shushcrrrrrr. So I pop out and the rear cover is hanging on the Wonk by the number plate lights.
A novel situation for me to be honest.

The crux of it is that there appear to be no fixings on the lower edge of the bumper/cover/trim panel and it was hanging on the back of the car by the upper clips and the wheel liner fixings which are shonky to say to the least. So much so, that I’ve already ordered a new rear wheel liner and all the bumper clips and fastenings to sort the problem out. I did consider that the PO might have removed any under body bracketry. Lesson learned I guess. Has anyone a idea of the brackets that I might need? I’ll get the thing up in the air as soon as I get home but I don’t really know what’s supposed to be there to start with?

Apologies but that made me laugh. Hopefully simple enough to pop it back on. I have used the same local body shop for bits a bobs on my cars for many years. If you have a similar shop near you they would likely pop it in for a few tins of Stella. :)

There isn’t a lot that holds these on. Bumper clip on each edge by the arch, 3 rivets in each wheel arch and around 6-8 bolts underneath.
