Of course, my council tax would go down
+1 Right on
I'm English, not British as British passports have been tossed about like confetti in the last 20 years so become meaningless.
As it is a very important issue that affects the whole of the UK we should all have some sort of vote on it. I would vote for them to leave now. I'm one of those fed up with the whining and would like to have better democracy for England. It is lopsided and wrong at the moment.
On too many occasions in England we have ended up with the Government that the majority of UK voters didn't want which has always f#c'd us over badly and pushed us back years in development and wealth.
If it was a yes vote, I predict a stream of people will try to move to other parts of the UK. Dismantle all our interests up there asap and get border control in place quick!
I wouldnt bet on your council tax reducing in the event of a 'yes' vote given austerity measures and capping this year.
As for your 'whining' comment - I think you'll find the 'whining' is coming solely from Alex Salmond and his merry band of SNP idiots. From what I have heard & read, the Scots as a whole are not 'whining' about this subject. If the Scots can get rid of Salmond then the noise will stop...
I'm pretty sure you're also inferring that the Scots are responsible for the country having to suffer poor government - which is hilarious given the resident population makes up what, 15% of the population of the UK ? And the vast majority of MPs who get into power and actually run the country once elected are English are they not ?
