Dropped off our beautiful car with "The Brake Caliper Specialist" this morning for a caliper refurb and paint job.
Collection tomorrow lunch (dinner) time {depending where you live}.
Will post pics and further info after collection.
Not cheap but...
Fingas X'ed.

Nice one I bet they'll look awesome when they're done

I did a DIY job on mine a couple of months back just using hammerite smooth silver... what a difference :)

Much better than the "rust" look anyway!

yep a good mod

Saying that mine need refreshing again, just under years after first doing them

Well she's back!

Fitted mtecbrakes drilled and grooved silver edition disks, so no more rusty disk bells!

Calipers and carriers removed, ultrasonic clean and shotblast, calipers and carriers painted in Stuttgart yellow  all rubber parts replaced, refitted and complete fluid change.

I'm very pleased, nimrodsmum says she looks mean!

Difficult to find, but the guys there are great. Richard, the owner, told me their rates are reduced from now until around August, if you mention the forum!

Upgraded to 5yr warranty as I had a refurb in conjunction with the high end paint service :D

Sorry it's an awful iPhone photo, but will take more/better tomorrow. (The flash makes it look like spongebob got caught!)

Word of warning. Your discs will rust, I've got the exact same discs and they went rusty after a week or so. Going to paint them next week I think

Take that back. You got the ones that came out just after I bought mine so shouldn't rust. Bastard lol

I had the calipers on my black Alfa Spider professionally painted in yellow.

Really made a difference and nice to be different. (Everyone goes for red...)

The addition of some subtle Alfa decals to the fronts made them look OEM too. I think even with a good paint job, without decals, they can look a little DIY.

I'll be having the Z4 done soon and so have ordered some 'M' decals off of eBay for this purpose... :-)

Interesting - they are really close to me (Long Eaton). I've been thinking of having mine done soon. Thanks for the heads up and looking forward to seeing more pics

I wholeheartedly agree with the observation about decals...

BUT on the 3.0 caliper there just isn't space to fit a reasonable sized one centrally that would look good.

Anyway the quest for decent pics has inevetably resulted in a complete wheel arch pedicure doh..

Just gotta refit wheel after poorboying and tyre dressing.

Pics this evening.

BEFORE. YUK. Yes the wheels are still diamond cut and have loads of corrosion and lacquer issues.

And here is the back. Pls excuse the dirty wheel :x

Dare not show a full side on shot of her as she's a bit dirty. But after a decent warm bath....

Ref. Beetlegavs comment about rust on these disks!

Can see where the paint has come off after only 100 miles of sedate driving

So I guess this pic will be going straight to mtec for their comments!

So finally after a decent 2 bucket bath, some full side on shots.
