It's an emotional decision Stuart, the family would kill you, and you'd not want so many miles on #69. It's not for driving after all. Don't do it

*reverse psychology off*

Hoisted by my own petard!

Anyway, I'm sure Ruby will get much better offers without all the #69 gags that would have followed had I offered and she accepted!

:o

Before you think I was being rude, you do know my car is Alpina build #69? It has caused much ribald humour...

Page 5, Alpina owner points out he has an Alpina, just in case any of us have been on holiday to Mars or had Amnesia over the past few weeks and had forgotten that.................

STUART TRUMAN HAS AN ALPINA

:P :P :P  :P :P :P

NOSA DOESN'T HAVE AN ALPINA OR AN M!

At least you got the colour right :poke: :)

He he he, you have to admit that was just to good an opportunity to miss, a blatant off topic "I've got an Alpina" post, your not getting away with that one Stuart

Read in context, it was on topic, but I'm not arguing. You haven't paid for the full argument

I make a good packed lunch :D

Ladies and gents we have an offer on the table! I'm bid 'a good packed lunch' for occupancy of this magnificent, dream red, leather sports seat by the lady in the blue coupe - any more bids?

Going once at 'a good packed lunch' ...

Glad you like it...we actually reccied it this weekend on a trip to see my sis in Alford (Aberdeenshire) - so did it over 2 days - heck it's a big un - esepcially the "return leg" fromTomintoul - some great roads but mixed weather today. I'm not suggesting a change but just be prepared for a long day though there are a couple of "bale out" options which could shorten it, just a little. Maybe aiming for 8a.m. departure and breakfast en route at Glenshee Centre might be worth considering.

If anyone else has any thoughts/concerns please speak up ! plenty time to review.

How's the jump seat/ packed lunch/navigator auction going ?

I'm loving the route. The Braemar road is awesome, and provided (as per Nosa) there aren't any death wish bikers  the start if the return leg will be amazing - note to self, fuel up this time so you can enjoy it properly.

I'm in for the full day  :)

Also loving the route, a lot - bring it on :driving:

I have it permanently open in a tab on my iPad so I can have a peek every once in a while

Wee Bing reckons 'it looks like we're driving round half of Scotland' and is really excited - he doesn't have even the tiniest clue how good it is going to be...

41 sleeps to go :dance2:
