OK guys - here are some pics of the new whip - and yes some of you will recognize it as being a previous/current forum members car - Tom.

Picked her up yesterday and to say im happy to be back behind a z4 wheel is an understatement. Im LOVING the manual gear change vs the paddleshit i had in my old 2.5si...oh and the SAT NAV oh and the electric seats :)

Its a 2006 3.0si sport with almost every going option apart from folding up mirrors and extended leather. Its got individual bi coloured leather - not sure if this makes it a proper "individual"?? Oh its got the DICE fitted which is interesting :fuelfire:
It doesnt have cruise fitted either, but i bought the kit last week in prep and going to fit it today - along with a ZHP gearknob - the shorter/weighted version :)

Pics are not the best as its been raining - but you get the idea!

I have questions, but will open up a separate thread for them!

Thanks
Jamie

Just wanted to add - any hints on keeping those alloys clean cause I have to say they are a nightmare! Look good though!

Not quite as bright as Big Bird but interesting and individual. Seen another the same colour near me but that's all. Enjoy.

Jamie glad your back in the fold, looking forward to seeing it in the metal on the 29th.

PS how much did your kit cost, was it just over £80?

I bought the full kit Inc cowling so it was around 130 IIRC. I don't have a dremel so just thought why not. Gonna follow the PDF to fit it later on today then stick the old one on eBay

1) Remove them and clean them all round
2) Apply some good quality wheel wax
3) Use a wheel cleaning brush
4) Elbow grease!

They not an easy wheel to clean - end of!

There seems to be two versions of the PDF around, would advise, check, check then check again after a few people on here ran into trouble. Then you can tell me what you did on the 29th. I just going to buy the stork and wiring kit seperatley, when I get round to it.

Humm - now you scare me.....im goning to follow this guide tomorrow: http://thegannet.bulldoghome.com/pages/thegannet_bulldoghome_com/CCInstructions.pdf

it matches the part number of the kit i bought so i presume its the one.
will try and do a how to as well as those instructions are not very friendly!!

Yea - then we can fit yours on the 29th :driving:

They seem to be the same as the ones I have, having thrown away the older set.

Going to have ot delay my CC, just bought a new lens for my Camera might treat myself for xmas though.

Congrats

and I love the colour :D

Good luck with the CC wiring - those instructions are the ones the dealer printed off for me when I bought what sounds like the same kit. Including wiring, cowl and switch.

Nice  Takes a brave person to make the leap from run of the mill black/silver but it looks stunning!
