The best car air freshener you ever had

How old are you Woots???!!!

My kids (I've got 5 grown up kids) all talk about their car air fresheners and all have their own particular favourites!

It amazes me but there you go -

I'm with the throw the roof back brigade but I can understand couped up drivers needing air fresheners :poke:

I'm 24 now lol, getting old!
I was the tender age of 19 when I joined this place....back in my day we had threads about horsepoweeeerrr sex and anal beads

Now it's just 'what csl reps should I have' , which car sponge shall I buy

If you have extended leather you don't need any air fresheners -:)

Literally the car smells like new everytime I get in!

If I was to buy one it would be the real leather smell link you got
 
I repeat..the air freshener is for my Polo..there is no leather. Recently it smelt like something died in there. I couldn't figure out what. Then got it cleaned in and out and it still smelt a bit off. I have been known to leave banana skins in there.
 
Just pray you never drop milk in there, I had to strip the interior of a Golf once as I could not get the stench out ...

Been there an got the tee shirt for that one.
However worse I think was a pal who bought a box of wet fish , fish juices leaking on the boot floor was a stench to behold!
He sold the car very soon afterwards :cry:
 
Ok Ruby - my bad! Does it have aircon? If yes then could the stench be comming from there?
You can get this air con cleaner stuff which is a can you open up and it squirts a spray out, you put the aircon on a certain setting, close all the doors (you outside) and then leave it for 20 mins.

I did this on an old 3 series and it worked for me.

You ideally want to solve the root cause of the stench rather than just mask it with a scent :)

I already tried this with jelly bean blueberry and the combo of smells made me want to heave. The people that cleaned it couldn't find anything. It's easing now anyhow whatever it was.
 
If it smells that bad I would use one of these,my mate runs a valet center and occasionaly uses this type of cleaner if a car is really smelly.

try the neuutrodol i linked earlier, great for getting rid of smells :thumbsup:

+1 - had to throw a whole boot carpet out once, smelt like something died and rotted in there :sick:
