The beasts are fitted.....some crap pics page 15

Very true but if all was to be believed!! JE was going to use the brakes lock the rears and skid of the road in a ball of flames!! Surly that sort of thing would have been noticeable......

Hang on JE hasn't posted for a while..........................

RIP JE.

If you are still alive JE...... A couple of q's....

Are they much heavier?

Hows the cars performance with the added unsprung weight?

For bling factor... They really look very good.

Surely he will need a few hundred miles on them to bed them in before feeling any benefit.
I wouldnt be surprised if the old brakes felt better than these do until they have bedded in.

My thoughts exactly... but maybe the 2.0 doesn't go fast enough to even need working brakes :P

But they're a different shade of red to the roof :(

You're going to need to have them painted to match :poke:

Hence the turbo then it will be faster then your Zed :nahnah:

But will you drive it fast enough... i imagine your pristine unmarked paint work wont last that way if you drive a 2.0 Turbo as its intended to be driven :D

I would say 1-2kg heavier, although the total sprung weight will be the same if not less with the carbon fibre bonnet next spring.
Car feels different corning, not as planted.....but im still in the early stage for the performance mods, need to bed the brakes in, get the turbo and exhaust done, anti roll bars, strut brace, CF bonnet etc etc then i will know how fast and well she handles, and that will be very early next year.

Sprung and unsprung are two different things. While you may add to one, and take away elsewhere, it won't cancel each other out.

Also off topic, do you know what spring rates your D2 coils are?

Thought of that already......3mm clear wrap on whole of front end, its for protected paint then you just replace when its been peppered, company near me does it [/quote]

3mm clear wrap, can't you get anything thinner

Going to be a bit of a step there.

- headlights
- front part off the BBK
- interior trim.

did he have M seats ? i'll have those 2.

any updates on how these are doing???

have you performed any decent stops yet? know your moving down to an 18" lightweight rim which is a great choice imo, grab some semi slicks to really make the most of the new found braking POWWAAA....

Grab some pics with them all bedded in, i love that blueish tint the rotors get after they've had a heat cycle or 2.

You are joking aren't you - he'll never drive it far enough or fast enough to ever bed them in

On the 'How and when do you drive yours' thread Jonny essex said:
Yeah never drive mine, done 50 miles or so in 5-6 months.
Prob use it even less when its finished next spring
