Have to say I love the wheels too!

srhutch, nice of you to say.... David's house looks nicer than my flat though... :P

Yes the wheels are quite stunning with 10J at the back!! :o

Not my place mate, Wish it was!! It's Rob's the deatilers :D

David i wondered if it was your car looks superb mate and those wheels look great

Take it the outer line is polished alloy not white paint.

Thinking of having a D Swirl on mine but thats all as you know i like to do it myself.

Looks like you did a great job

Why do you tape off an area and create a hard line between before and after and then no doubt have to work extra hard on the paint to remove it? Seems a strange thing to do on other than a scrap panel?

As already mentioned, it's just a polish line and not a ridge/hard line, so polishes out without a great deal of stress.

Forgot to mention mate, wheels to definately stay as they are with the polished lip IMO.

As above comments...Superb effort and looks proper bo.

Just wondering how much this costs.
I have, as i guess the rest of us have, gandered at the polishers for a couple of hundred quid then thought about all the pads, clay, sealant, polish wax etc and thought about how much it would add up to when compared to handing it over to a pro detailer.
Just wouldn't want to be ££'s down buying all the kit and then burn my paint, or produce a real average result.

After calling/looking around, I found the going rate was anything from £150-£300/day - and of course a job could take 1-5 days!

Best to take it to someone and ask for an estimate and then get a confirmed quote before you go ahead with it.

Some will give you one price for 'cash' and another for 'cards' as one has to go through the books and the other doesn't :P

David,

Looks stunning - I have the same colour combo etc but roadster with standard M wheels..

Could we have a quick list of the actual products used (Poorboys what.. etc) and where you got them? (I'm new to detailing, so this info would be very helpful!) :)

Cheers
