The annual insurance dance...

BMW insurance beat direct line by only twenty quid but the cover is more comprehensive, lost keys,European cover etc. may be worth a look

I have 5 cars on the policy, that helps :P

DOF ... hmm, that has a nice ring to it :D

Well done Stu, that's a great price, are you on limited mileage with that ?

Nope, I put 12k down for both cars, no mileage limitations. I'll ask about adding the pug when it's due as well

Proper result Stu

I'm sure I heard something recently about insurance companies being forced to drop their premiums. Unless I dreamt it!

Insurance is always a nightmare for me .........62 yrs......full no claims, no accidents or convictions, no disabilitys and good credit score.....average post code in London....£478 for the Z this year .

I always feel like ...... I'l just bend over , will you please pull my pj bottoms back up when your finished :?

I have just received my renewal quote, last year it was £566.42, this years quote is £387.34, now that's not bad

This gets better. Or worse depending upon your point of view.

Phone Direct Line to give them the good news that they'd lost my business to Admiral. They then went through the usual "what can we do?" and got their offer to £401 at which point I said no thanks. Her parting comment was "If you go on the website and get a new quote and it's better we'll honour it"

I did. It was. Now £312.

Why the hell can they not just be as competitive as possible in their renewals. Customer loyalty does not appear to feature in their world. :headbang:

So come S-Max renewal I'll be doing the same damned thing.

Ludicrous. System designed to make it as hard as possible to change - how come SHE couldn't just do that ? :x

If you're with admiral, when you need to renew your S-Max, call them up and look into a multicar policy. I've found that to be highly competitive on the price front! (Make sure you go down the usual channels of obtaining even more discounts of them as they do cave in most of the time)

I'm with direct line on a multi car policy (although it appears that was screwed up too) and I'd used admiral to do a price check. Direct line is now cheaper so I'll stay put.

 since the wife turned fifty I have moved mine to Saga and for the first time ever my renewal this year was cheaper than anything on confused.com so I DIDNT HAVE TO DO THE DANCE
