The Aero Skirt story

Round two is due soon where PVR fits mine and I watch most of the time :poke:

Mrs. PVR does make very nice cakes though.

Just been quoted £703 all in from Berrys Chiswick BMW
Skirts £165 each
Seals £13 each
Labour £140
Paint £90
Tax £118

Which I think is over the top, I shall say my local garage have quoted me £550 and see what they say.

Still kicking myself for not buying a set off Daz05 last year. Will be interesting to see them with the standard alloys. I have only seen them with 19" CSL wheels.

x2

No doubt DonDP will be along shortly to rub salt in the wounds...:P

Ah well, I still have an Imola M which looks good I suppose!

Oh and pvr they look great, look forward to some more scenic pictures!

Someone mention me!? Sorry was too busy polishing my aero skirts... :-)

The local BMW shop quoted about £400 to paint and fit. Steep but I have nowhere to fit them so I might just bite the bullet and then there will be no issues with any possible paint warranty claim later on.

bluestreak - the seals are included in the skirt boxes, so there is no way a delaer should be charging you for them.

stuart - you don't even need to jack the car up, side of the road is easy enough. Save yourself over £200 also.

Time to bump an old thread.
Just to be sure about the clips. The cone part should be fully pushed on to the piece that slides into the back of the skirt?

I was really suprised how light weight these are, I can see it needing two people to manhandle them into place though. Anyone is Cheshire and board enough to want to give a hand? :p
