The plan will be as follows:

Meet at 1000 for 1030 departure at the Texaco services and OK Diner at Tickencote. You may want to get there at 0930 for a light breakfast.

There will then be a short but hopefully enjoyable drive of about 1.5 hours to a pub, where we will engage in banter, bevvies and brunch. After lunch, we will pile back into our cars and take a different 1.5 hour route back to the starting point, where we will say our goodbyes and head off home.

Please read this before you join the cruise.

Not really at this time of year fella... cant justify a whole day at the moment, so realistically it'd have to be north of Sheffield. Will have a lot more free time from February though, so will be happy to travel further afield then.

I'm fine with driving a bit farther away, I will need advance notice asap, or have us do it on a sunday....there is chances I could work on a saturday.

Sunday 22nd best for me as we're on holiday the previous weekend. Any of the meets are ok with me as they are each an hour from home.
Marcus.

Also, if anyone was following my other thread, I'm thinking of arranging an post drive party at my new place....

I am up for the 22nd. As long as i have someone to come from the North with, i wouldn't have a clue how to get there :D

I'm still useless and i don't like travelling long distances on my own, i WILL get lost!! Even with the sat nav on

Dear me. Where would you have been before satnav?

And hang on a minute, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the company you work for/run something to do with transport?

Come ON! It really is straight down the A1. The start and end point is ON THE A1.

How can you get lost? :?

Don't be to tough on Lucy.

It's good to meet a girl that can lose herself.

I could meet you at the A1 A14 junction then take you cross country on the lanes rather than the A14, but I thought we might even be meeting on the A1 anyway.

The meeting point is north of the A1/A14 junction. And, curiously enough, there are two (some would even say three!) junctions between the A1 and the A14, within a couple of miles of each other. So you could wind up getting her lost with your offer!

I'm in Nottingham (well.. nearly), so if you come down the M1, I can meet you there and go down the A606 together to the meeting point?

There's the A14 West, A14 North and A14 South... With Brampton Hut, Alconbury Hill & Spittals Interchange... which all join with the A1.
