So are you all off to Munich this year the way the M3 CSLS did ? ... i know they weren't built there but its a long way to Spartanburg

Since BMW Museum seemingly don't even aknowledge ANY E85/86 I'd be very surprised to see any official gathering.. A shame, would make a nice summer trip.

You can never make it as the date is fixed, so in another 10 years it has to be 50 years old etc.

No, it's a 40 year rolling date from 1st April each year

Yes, definitely rolling - my Stag becomes tax free in April :D

I'm in the club! And registered 1 DAY after the cut off date for the cheaper tax! Whoever did that needs a slap, with my empty wallet

Mines a june car, cant ever remember seeing a 55 plater which gets the cheaper roadtax.

Hello Steve, if you mean me as the Andy I've still got my ///M and I did check a few weeks ago on the build date and I'm 100% sure mine was built in Jan 06 but not registered till 07/06/06, I've had a lot going on in life the last 8 months or so but hopefully getting back on track now, I'm hoping to go to Duxford in May with the forum cheers Andy

Checked my V5 last night: 30 Sept 2006. So I've got a few months yet until it's officially ten. Seems crazy as it still feels new and fresh...
