That’s odd

To while away the morning hours I’ve been working on my Royal Enfield motorbike changing the oil, it’s a simple engine & uses a gauze mesh oil strainer underneath the engine to stop bits reaching the oil pump.
I removed it for cleaning & discovered this, it’s the only bike I’ve owned that produces more belly button fluff than me :o

:? WTH... :? Where could that be coming from?

I read somewhere that the Indians assembled these engines after wiping down the components with old fluffy rags!
My bikes covered just over 5k miles & has had 3 oil changes in that time

I think it's normal. The bike inhaled a bit of fur from all the critters he's been running over :poke:

Oooh difficult emotions here - the horror of small fibres which could clog an oil way (but as you say simple engine) or a smug knowing grin that any mechanical chatter / free play in the bottom end has been dampened - like the old trick of putting nylons into a noisy / warn diff
