Oh, you've got to read my synopsis on my loaner Alan..I think it's somewhere in the Gallery forum under "My loaner"..I specifically address the tranny, check it out if you get a minute.

I can shift far faster with a manual that this POS and wouldn't give a nickel this as an option. It's sad that the only way to get a manual tranny in an X3 Stateside is to special order it from the factory but I am more than willing to take such a step in order to get what I want....

On a serious note, I also agree that the automatic transmission on the E90's just crappola. I would have paid for the loaner if I could get it in stick. It's a shame that the car is restricted by its own transmission. I can't wait until they get on the DSG bandwagon.
