That's it...I'm done waving at Roadsters!

IT WORKED!!! We was driving from Wallingford towards Henley this afternoon and saw a Z approaching, gave it a flash of the lights and a wave and the couple in it waved back :D :D :D

Any one on here?? Schemauk, was it you??

aces! nice one - we have to make the first move, it's our duty as z4-forum members :happyclap:

I think that part of the problem is that 90% of Z4 owners see them as being "just another car".

They are not driven by enthusiasts, to them it is no different than driving a Mondeo. So if you wave at one of those 90% no wonder you don't get a positive response.

I had the perception the Z4 owners were a little more involved in their cars and, being as rare as it is (for its price bracket), owners would care more about it. :driving:

Why do you think Z4 are usually not driven by enthusiasts? Not saying you are incorrect or anything, just curious.

Not seen a coupe in this area (west Cornwall) since getting mine in mid July. I guess we count for about 1 in 30 Z4s?
Did see the most hideous gold I've ever seen on a roadster the other day, thought I'd give them a wave.
Not a glimmer!!!! You can probably guess the age, seems to relate to the colour.

My Pal Tel has a coupe. He said a while back that someone in Truro had requested a meet. Can't find anything now but does anyone have details.

I had a wave the other day from an MX5 - it was a sunny day and we both had our top down, sadly I wasn't quick enough to wave back :(

Saw another Silver Roadster this morning, turning right at some traffic lights in my home town.

As I passed on the nearside to go straight on, I pooped the horn and waved cheerily out of the open drivers window.

I'm not sure if there was any response, but at least I tried :driving:

I generally flash the lights and usually then get a wave back.

Perhaps waving at the other driver first means they are past you before they have time to acknowledge you.

The flash alerts the other driver further in advance I reckon.

Finally got a wave! Flashed an E89 convertible earlier and got a very happy woman driver wave in response.

Ahh the little things in life :)
