That sinking feeling!...

:? I expect most of us have had it - pull into supermarket car park space, and hear that little scrape as your front end reaches the high kerb before you think it will !!.. Have had that very thing in mind to be careful of too :headbang: , big relief to find no damage- phew!.. A good reminder early on in my z ownership, to watch out for its long nose in future .. :)

Reverse in next time - the parking sensors detect the edge of the kerb

However I know how you feel. Speed bumps have become my enemy #1 since I had the car lowered... That noise is physically painful

Yes, I was astounded on the length when my Zed was first acquired, but soon got used to it. It helped me to remind myself it's a relatively short car overall so no need to pull far into a space. If you do pull up to the kerb, the rear is so far into the space it's hard to find the car again amongst all the longer (and taller) cars.

That's a good thing to remember, and you are right because I actually thought it had been nicked from the car park the other day coz I just couldn't see it !.. Damn, I spend to much bloody time in Sainsburys !

Except when they don't and the very shiny tail pipes attached to your rather lovely Remus back boxes scrape on the kerbstone instead :headbang:

Yep, I know that feeling too. The RPi skid plates work really well to protect the fangs on the ///M bumper, but I'm not sure that any such thing is available for other models.

You also have the bumper at the same level all the way across, so you'd need piece of metal all the way along it. I can't afford to lose any more mm of height though.

I tend to judge how far forward I can go by lining up to the wheels of the car either to left or right... or just over compensate, get out & check & adjust... although PVR has a nice proximity sensor on the front
