that little plastic bit under the handbrake

will it come out without completely dismantling the centre console, mine is quite scratched i guess from some diamond ring wearing ho and I'd like to either flat it back or wrap it, got the handbrake gaiter off but it seems very well attached and i dont want to force it, thanks peeps

Remove the gearknob, gaiter and surround. It should then slide towards the dash

thanks gav.. forgot to mention i have an auto, not sure if this makes a difference or not, the knob seems pretty solid and there is no obvious area to remove the gaiter as it goes right inside the trim, worst case scenario i will try to wrap it in situ and trim around the edge gap with a craft knife

The plastic gearknob surround will pull upwards with the gearknob still on. Then just slide that small plastic bit forward.
