Thassos - home from home !

Off on our annual Greek fix on Friday - would you believe our 19th consecutive year - we do go to other places as well but cannot resist going back to Thassos each year for a 2 week beach holiday at this time of the year - stay with a Greek couple we class as friends who have 8 studios right on the beach :D :D

still looking for a red zed - will double my efforts when we get back - take care you lot and enjoy the sun as will I :D :D

Scala Potamia :thumbsup: :thumbsup: you can do a package deal from Thomas Cook or better still do a flight only through TC and book your own accommodation through the website Go-Thassos . You fly in to Kavala and get a taxi down to Keramoti port ( 20 euros ) the ferry over to Thassos takes about 35 mins then get another taxi to Scala Potamia ( 20 euros ) If you book a package deal transfrers are included but the best accommodation are the ones you book direct . The Greeks themselves holiday there so you don't get the usual naff towns like you get on most of the better known islands :D sunbeds are still only 6 euros for 2 and you get a drink included - the bay is a horseshoe shape with tavernas right alongside the beach - great food and great people !

Cheers Rob - are you now living in Somerset ? - we've just had a great few days in Glastonbury - even managed to climb up to the Tor :)

Not yet, we’re staying in wrantage (near Langport/fivehead) for the week so we could have a measure up of our new place for furniture etc.
Sale should be completed soon we hope :thumbsup:
