In the spirit of Andysat - a public thak you to both Nosa and wantanm who sorted me out with replacement side repeaters after the neds got my car again last week. Currently I have Nosa's ambers installed - as they came with badges and clear bulbs, what a total star ! When I get a new carbon roundel for the side I'll probably change back to clears - at which point I'll use the one I got from wantanm, brand new and still in the BMW box with bulb and bulb holder. Also a total star :thumbsup:

As I said in my original thread, I am totally bowled over by the generosity on here :oops:

Also, need to say thanks for the new sidelight holder I got from TomTVR last week - once I re-learn how to solder that will be getting fixed too - cheers Tom :thumbsup:

Feels like my car is now at least partly owned by the Forum :P
 
Bing if you want us to come down and lay some bait (ie 20 Z's) maybe that could be arranged and we can catch them at it!!! And maybe we can do a Natalie Cassidy, and have them hit with a mascara brush!

LOL - if nothing else I'd love a photo of my street filled with Zs. Thinking about finding something caustic to coat me carbon badges in when I re-fit them, but everything I can think of will melt them, the car and the drive :D
 
I'm thinking an electric fence rope wrapped around the side indicators, routed in via the bulb hole with the charger tucked out of site somewhere. The lens should be insulator enough and it'll give the little b*stards a (literal) shock. If you're feeling mean, and f you don't mind charred ned all over the driveway, pump up the current a bit... :evil:

I like this idea. Seriously. My only concern is I forget to disconnect it when I wash the car and kill myself :cry:

Does anyone have a how-to for this ? For instance, would I need separate power packs, or could I link it to the main electrical system (and thus the battery) somehow ? :?
 
Glad you got fixed up :ilovez4f: have helped out and been helped out on a few occasions myself and it does give you a rosy glow #grouphugeveryone !
 
Exploring the fantasy land side... If you were going to be clever you could link it to the car systems so it's armed and disarmed by the alarm/central locking. I guess you unlock the car to wash it? Looking at the local farm supplies website, a 6v system would be about £80 plus the shock twine for about another £25... Add a couple of pads under the door handles for the casual door testing Ned.

Then get prosecuted for frying them. Ho hum
 
Is that what you traded your Citroen for then? Couple of indicators? :evil:

Just been admiring my car in the garage, and actually I am not hating the ambers at all... But I do want my carbon badges restored to their former glory.

citroen still present and correct - and problem free...

indicators are the old ones of my old z4 which I didnt have time to switch back before selling...

Only danger is what the little tw*ts do to your car afterwards with a few well placed kicks.....
unless the shock is lethal.. now thats a solution!!!
 
Ahh, but if I electrify the whole car then even a single kick will bite back. I suppose they'd just go get some brake fluid to toss over it then... You're right. Not going to work. Garage it is then. Shame. Could have been a mod to equal fitting a supercharger :D
