Thanks for your advice on the technique used to pull my knob off -i lowered the roof,both seats far back,2nd gear selected,and pulled and pulled,then i remembered what you said about sitting on the armrest(dashes in house to put jogging pants on)-sat on it and hey presto i pulled my knob off -the v1 is a beaut!

It was too windy to lower the roof when I did my ZHP. I pulled hard, it flew off, and I ended up with a fat lip and nearly smashed my tooth. Hurt my knuckle on impact too

These knob removal dramas make me laugh! All you need to do is turn around and face the back of the seat - that way you use your back muscles and protect your face! Mine came off easy as you like but I'm a pretty strong bugger too.

Fitted my zhp which was a present from santa last week after reading other forum members dramas, I honestly thought I was in for a nightmare. How wrong was I,gentle twist and alittle bit of brut strength and the old gear knob was removed with easy. Happy days
