Thanks & Goodbye

Well after only 12 weeks of ownership and some soul searching I parted with my E89 yesterday.
I never bonded with the car, I didnt get that smile and that buzz when I drove it and never glanced back over my shoulder once I had parked it and walked away. It just didnt do it for me.
So anyway just a thanks to the users of this forum for help and advices over the past 12 weeks, its a friendly forum and those are few and far between these days. Good luck with the Z'ds

They aren't for everyone but even now at 11yrs old I think theyre a great looking & well styled car.
What will you replace it with for similar money that will have you second glancing :?

Mr Wilks, Its been replaced by a 2014 Jaguar XF Sport Premium Luxury Edition 270 - totally different but coming from a long line of Mercedes C, E, CLA, CLS, ML the Z felt too raw, too bare and not highly specced enough for me. Granted I only had the 2.0, but I reckon even if I had the bigger engine, the heated seats, the infotainment ect it still wouldnt have cut it for me, hey I tried it, it wasnt for me, I must be getting old :D

Best wishes, it’s good that you gave your feedback /views before disappearing..

Shame you didn't gel with your Z4, but I suppose they aren't for everyone.

You're right about this being a friendly forum, and you don't have to leave just because you no longer have one!

You know what we are like about photos - we'd love to see some of your Jaguar (just post in "Other Marques").

Pity you didn't gel with the Zed. Hope your next car is more your thing. Be sure to post up a picture of the replacement if you think on.

Better to have tried and lost than never tried
At least you’ve scratched an itch even if it didn’t sooth it, good look with the new one

The E89 is the only car that I've had that some people have made un solicited yet positive comments about.

Good luck with the Jag.
I get unsollicited positive comments all the time on my ...
1990 Ford Bronco II and
1969 MB 280 SL.
So far once on the Z4 since getting it last May. But what matters is that I like it.

My brother drove the E89 in full specs after listening to me rave about it. He too wasn't wowed and ended up with a F type Jaguar.
We get it - not everybody craves a low slung long nosed 2 seater .... But I do
Good Luck

My other car is a 2017 Jag XE, let me know if you find a good forum. I tried a few, including a facebook page, and found nothing but arrogant, condescending aholes. Love the car, but the forums, not so much.
