Maybe it's the festive spirit tainting my view of the World at the moment, but I just wanted to say thanks to everyone on this forum.

My Zed is now gone and I'm not even a prolofic member, but my time on here has been enjoyable and a great experience.

It has a nicer feel than other forums I'm a member of, with some very knowledgable people too.

I will still frequent the Lounge and other areas even though I technically don't have my Coupe anymore.

That is all.

You're welcome to stay Matt.
Selling your Coupe just means you're half-way there to returning with your Roadster

You lot are like the Mormons you never go away with your dogma - accept the truth - it's Christmas after all - you are the ugly sister in this relationship :fuelfire:

Ditto what Matt said, my Zed has been gone 16 months now but I still check in here almost every day as I enjoy the friendliness & banter.

I don't know of another forum where people are more welcoming & polite or educated.

I can take it,... I'm soft skinned and not the one needing a tin hat.

Best wishes for xmas TonyP, i was where you are last year so I know it'll be tinged with sadness but I hope you can still enjoy it and here's to a much better new year for you all. :)

Well my new job came with a car allowance and it was a good time to condense to just the one car anyway.
I desperately wanted to stay away from the dark side and keep a petrol. Turns out the 1.4TFSI VW unit with cylinder deactivation is just as cheap to run as a diesel, but can be fun too, so kind of a win/win (apart from it's not a straight six!)

I know, the list price is too high. I got quite a big discount or I wouldn't have gone for it.

It looks stunning, even in silver/grey which I usually dislike! The 1.4TFSI S-Line S-Tronic is the one to have as well

Can I be cheeky and ask how much it set you back (with the nice discount)?

Cheers, yeah it's nice it being less common than the A4/A6s.

I'm paying £399 a month over 48 months on 20k miles a year. The cash price was £27.5k with £3500 discount :)

They are great but its a bit big for his needs now, especially with the X4 in the garage next to it. He does a lot of trips down to Southampton for work, usually on his own...
