Not sure where the best section to post this is, but I just wanted to say a massive THANK YOU to Alan (Number5) who kindly fixed the roof on my Z4 yesterday after giving up over 5 hours of his time to do so.

It wasn't one of the common failures so there was a lot of trial and error involved, which eventually led to a faulty sensor on a wiring loom being diagnosed as the culprit. Sensor replaced and works perfectly now. :D

Alan is a Top guy on the forum. He has had more than his fair share of hard times, probably helped to make him the person he is. Zedward aside he has arranged the SW run out for a number of years and a chuck up in his general direction is well over due. :thumbsup:

How ever did you get that picture a top the seven Bridge Alan. :?

I think I remember him saying they closed off the bridge for maintenance & he's involved with the team :P

You're welcome Owen, it was nice to meet you last night.

Yes, a bit of an unusual problem, which involved opening up the head-lining and testing a new loom from the controller to the latching motor amongst a few other things, but we finally got there.
If it wasn't for totally replacing Limpmisfits roof last weekend, I would not have had all the spare parts here on hand to try, so it's just funny how things work out, so thanks to him too !

I'm just glad we got it all going for the wedding you were attending today, the car must have looked the part :D

Ocrx8 also joins the unique club of those having a totally immaculate roof motor when it was extracted :D

Rob is correct - and that's also how I got Zedward to the top of the Bridge Towers
