Many of you will have seen the posts from AnubisZed (Dave) regarding the Android Dash Display Screen he fitted to his own car. As well as the video he made recording the process. Dave kindly agreed to organise a group purchase for those interested in acquiring one of these devices. A fair amount of work was involved in getting everything sorted out. Mine arrived from China last week and Dave fitted it for me today. He made the fitting process look easy but if I had had to do it I dread to think what I would have ended up with. There were so many bits of the dashboard to dismantle and a heck of a lot of small screws to lose. Anyway the job is completed and I am delighted. No doubt it will take me quite a time to get the hang of all the possibilities.
I would just like to thank Dave for all his help in getting this screen into my car. Another example of the many kind and helpful folk on the Forum.

Ian,
It was an absolute pleasure to do that for you today.
It was nice to learn a few new things like how easy the auto knob comes off :D and that the wiring for the iDrive OEM screen was already there in your Z even though you didn't have it fitted. Your Z is absolutely gorgeous by the way, love that red

buzyg, although I don't have any photo's of Ian's install these are mine (on a much wetter day!)…
Ian's install included the iDrive controller and Apple Carplay adaptor as well
