Thai-lidays

im planning on going thailand later next year but will be going quite close to it when i go to malaysia at the end of january for 12 days..... i have no idea what to expect at either place so will just enjoy the experience :D

Riley Thailand is amazing did a similar thing as what Ruby. But loved Riley its less commercial when i went 5 years ago. But breathtakingly beautiful. You wont go wrong in Thailand.

Its so good i am going back next year. To see my mate who moved there.

Pat pon ping pong shows are something to behold!!!!!

Thanks guys. Ruby, they do have good beaches though, right? It's not a major factor but would be nice to have some good beach action!

And you other options are Norwegian Fjords and Lake Garda ??? :o

I won't expect beaches in Norway or Garda of course.
Just if we go to Thailand a nice beach would be good.

Lake garda has a lake though - if it is anything like the Swiss lakes in Summer then swimming in them whilst looking at snow capped mountains in the background is quite an experience. They have areas around the lake that you have to pay a small fee to get into and they are looked after with refreshments and restaurants within - really nice places to hang out. I've been to Lake Como, only a day trip and didn't swim in the lake but I'm sure it was quite do-able.

Thailand - Railay Beach and Ko Lanta Highly recommended. Also Chang Mai in the north.
Summer time in Western Canada is fun too. Whistler without snow and Vancouver Island (Wickininish Inn)

That was going to be my other suggestion. I have been to Vancouver and the West coast of Canada in the Summer and travelled up to Alberta/Calgary/Whistler, camped a bit too (I was about 12). The weather was great and the views of lakes and mountains (my 2 favourite things) were out of this world. I'd like to repeat the trip sometime now I'm older and also go skiing in Whistler at some point.
