TFI Friday Special Tonight

Is that you? However in the question, yes looking forward to it. I want to know if they still have the soccer heads mugs. I have a collection of them and I always liked he had them too

I've never seen your nose do that - I think that was a stunt nose :poke:

He has told so many lies now that his nose is too big to disappear

Missed it, doh! However, thanks to srhutch for that nostalgic clip

I got my first systems analyst/programmer job in '97 :)

I actually really enjoyed it. Though I couldn't work out if the last half was basically a very unsubtle job application or a bunch of mates poking fun at all the press speculation :?

I enjoyed it and it got better as it went along. I think it would be great if it did come back, but not sure if Chris would do it or not. If he didn't I don't think it would work. Bit like top gear.

I wouldn't say Chris is passed his best, just look it the listening figures for his radio show, but like all of us he is getting older

I quite liked it. Hamilton was getting on my nerves when they were discussing the potential lap time. Plato did a cracking job and only 0.04 of a second off the time. I'm already convinced that Plato is the stig and that didn't make me change my mind any.

I thought it was a good show and it could never be what it was back in the day as Evans was more than slightly off the rails. He's grown up since then a bit and he's matured. I'm not a big grimmy fan but I think he would actually do a decent job. He has enough balls to push things a bit more and if it was on after 9 then he most definitely would.

Mike had never seen TFI even though he is 4 and a half years older than me, but that'll be because he might not have lived in the UK when it began but when they moved here I don't think 'mummy and daddy' approved of watching that sort of stuff on TV. He really enjoyed it, showed him what he'd missed out on.

Could Plato even be The Stig ? Surely his contract with Channel 5 would preclude that :?

I loved the fact the entire audience was aged 17 years older as well - it all worked really well. And assuming they really were Left Baby & Right Baby, they lucked out with how they turned out as 17yr olds :D

What does Plato do at channel 5? If the stig wore a watch we would know. Plato is a Paneria man and you could see it when he came on. One of the guys who used to present fifth gear also wrote for top gear magazine, you know the one with the frizzy mop. I used to find that strange.

Those two were the babies. You could tell they still looked the same just grown up.

Ah, sorry... I have Fifth Gear as a Channel 5 show in my head for some reason. Didn't realise they could moonlight on other productions. You could be on to something there - if they really only had 15mins then the person driving would need to know the track really well to do a time as good as that in a car they wouldn't have driven much, if at all.

I don't think Plato is/was the stig. His driving style is completely different if you watch the la'ferrari lap. His driving style just isn't as smooth
