Anyone tried a tetrax mount before? The entry level sticky pad doesn't look so appealing, but the vent clip is interesting as it screws on/off in a couple of seconds. It's also pretty small to hide, so no telltale signs left in the car.

Uses a magnet to hold the device which means you need to stick a small steel plate on. They do iphone cases with the steel plates pre-attached, although it's not too obtrusive - could always get a 2nd case for the car if it was an issue.

Cheap solution for anyone without factory fitted satnav :P

Yes, I have the sticky pad version. Very neat and holds the Iphone really well. Stuck it to the right of the radio controls.

As the title says.

I did see somebody with one of these systems in their car last year but never got to ask them what they thought of it.

As its Xmas, i might let somebody in my life buy me one :D

I've got the vent one. Excellent and easily holds my mammoth galaxy note 2 securely! Would highly recommend!

Pretty sure I posted in a similar thread earlier! I've got that exact model, have it attached to my middle vents. Wouldn't be without it. Clicks on with one hand and slides off when you need it. My phones a large galaxy note 2 and is held firmly and has securely - even when I'm flooring it! The only thing I've found is that when I've got it in portrait it covers some of the stereo buttons (altho you could move the tetrax up 1 or 2 vent grills).

SO they are worth it then and work well.

I'll issue my xmas list :D

Definitely! The only other thing to note is you stick a small metal disc to the back of your phone case which makes it uneven and you won't be able to lie it flat, but this has never bothered me. I've got the largest disc on the back of my phone (you get 3 different sized metal discs)

Yes. You'd only need the tiny one that sticks to your dash. Google them, they sell them at Halfords :)

Bear in mind if you go for a vent-mounted one, and use the vent for hot air, you will cook your phone.

Never had any problems, and I like my car warm!
