Testing the interior alarm sensors? Doesnt seem to activate

Something i just noticed after i removed the hardtop. I parked the car with the roof down, locked with a signle press. Grabbed some pizzas, tossed them on the passenger seat. alarm didnt go off. I've never seen this feature work since i got the car a year ago. I have the tilt and ultrasonic alarm sensors as per my VIN and the coding option on NCS dummy. Is there a way to test this? specifically via INPA, to see if the sensor is reading something.

I've also tried pushing my car as well to ativate the tilt alarms when i purchased my car, out of curiousity, but that didnt do anything. Only activated the alarm system by opening up the engine bay, so i can confirm that the alarm system at least works.

Do let me know how i can check if the interior sensors work, im a bit puzzled

I remember activating mine with the roof down by dangling a broom into the footwell and waving it about. All very scientific.

I believe the system adapts to the roof being down.
I just went out and checked mine. I too had to reach right into the foot-well before it activated.

I've set mine off a couple of times recently by reaching in or throwing things onto the passenger seat with the roof down. I keep meaning to look where the sensors are; haven't spotted them yet!

Hmm. I should try activating it via the footwell. A little bit annoyed that it doesn't activate if it actually detects movement inside, that would be more useful. Always thought the clown nose on the mirror houses the sensor. Anyone knows whereabout I can find the sensor on INPA? Just want to see how it reacts to movement

Have you tried it with the roof up?
Sit inside, lock it, wait about a minute then wave your arm about.
If it works like that then it is something to do do with the roof being down. If not, you have a sensor issue.

I did try it a couple of days ago and noticed something. My friend was in the passenger seat while I was testing the range of my remote. With a human presence:
-the locks and unlocks without any beep confirmation
-the central storage box doesn't lock
-the interior lights are constantly on, even after locking.

So it seems human presence changes the behaviour of this. This scenario was with the roof up. For the longest time I thought my central storage lock was broken, turns out the roof need to be down and nobody inside.

So i just did some further testing. With every lock press, i waited 10-15 seconds. Alarm seems to work.

People in my parking garage were giving me funny looks, glad no one called the cops on me

The interior sensor/module is in the center console. As far as I'm aware the only thing in the clown nose is a red LED.
