Just got back from a spin out in a 2.0i which is a surprise by the amount of shove it has. More importantly though is the chassis, very very stable, feels fantastic tbh, a world away from the jelly E89, very taut, light informative steering, so much more feel, it might be roughly the same weight as the E89 but it does a hell of a job disguising it. Seats are superb, shame you can’t raise the seat squab on its own or spec cooling but very comfy nonetheless. Plenty of kit, personally I like the HUD, a great array of settings to get it how you like, it’s not at all crashy in sport, even tauter with no detectable shake. Still nicely firm in comfort without being harsh.
It’s a very very good car imho. You would have to spend approx another 15k to spec up a 2.0 Boxster to match it, even more for a GTS. A worthy alternative to a Boxster. The only thing that lurks in the back of the mind is would it stay fresh and exciting after a year or so like I think a boxy would, or would it become too familiar too soon.
