Test Drive - thoughts

hi all,

so I went to test drive a z4 Si Coupe yesterday. All seemed well apart from the bonnet gaps. There seemed to be large gaps between the headlights and the bumper and also the bonnet gap didn't seem smooth. Also the SAT Nav said i was in Wales (i was in Southampton!). Is this big issue or just an update needed? The engine bay was also VERY clean which actually makes me suspicious.

Thanks in anticipation.

:)

I have the same gap on headlights and front bumper. You can adjust it by those 8 screws under the bonnet.. Not a big Deal :D

Not sure about the sat nav issue, but there are lots of images of nice clean engine bays on the forum.

This is a photo from last year of my clean engine bay at 5 years old :)

I have the same gap between headlight and bumper on my car and the engine bay is exceptionally clean.

With regards to the gap - I suppose if the grill, bonnet and wing look in line the rest should follow!

thanks for the posts people! I think I need to go and look at a few more and get to know the subtle differences. The service history was good and has had all the correct inspections etc during the correct periods so it looked like it had been cared for. With regards to the SAT NAV , maybe it just needs re-coding/re-setting or something? Anyway my search will continue and hopefully soon my pic will change from my old dead car to a nice clean z4 coupe! :driving:

Wow mate-share the secret!-I really want to get into this about Spring time. :)

I understand what you mean about clean engine bays, I am also suspicious of the guys on here who clean theirs

Why do some engine covers have an actual badge, and some have the logo impressed in the the plastic? Mine has a badge as well.

Me too.... they are easy to spot, they usually have a rag in the back pocket and carry a spray bottle of detailing fluid at all time..

Some owners on here have bought a badge and stuck it on the plastic.
