Tesla Anyone?

Tesla recently added 8 free fast charging stations near where I live.

Cost of replacement batteries is a concern I have with all of these electric cars.

Did you say 'Free'? :o

No doubt this is the future and I bet it drives superbly but aesthetically I cant help seeing styling features from Jaguar, BMW and Maserati and it doesn't all quite gel together for me.

Yes FREE....
However, as I understand the conditions these FREE charging stations are for travelers and not for someone like myself that live just a few miles away from this location. The charging station in the picture is located just blocks away from an exit of the NE extension of the PA Turnpike and I-78.

My friends just bought the Model S 85D I think or 90, anyhow the big one, he loves it, he has a retail park near Cumnock and travels there in it every other week, the car plans where to charge on your journey and he has an adapter too to use the Nissan charging points, my company is looking into one for me as there's benefits all round, I was looking at the Model X but there's bad reports about them apparently and Tesla may stop building them so this new one may fit the bill, my mates is blisteringly fast :-)

They are free to charge at any charging point, 1/2 HR Tesla charger gets you another 170 miles I think the Nissan ones take a bit longer :driving:

There's an 8 year guarantee on the batteries and motors, unlimited by mileage WLH

I went along to one of their test drive events at the Hilton in Glasgow last year. Drove a model S.

They are a better alternative than a big diesel if you are doing the mileage, although you obviously don't get the range. Not a sporty car like an M3/M4 from my experience. Don't be fooled by silly acceleration figures as it's nothing like the same experience. It struck me as a car for thrusting execs who aren't really into cars but appreciate the bragging rights. It was numb in every way and I figured that's what some people think is so fantastic about them.
