anyone had their engine terracleaned??

my coupe has 104k on the clock and I'm unsure if it would benefit from getting the engine de-carbonized.

Get an endoscope down a plug hole and see if it's 'carbonised' - if not then why bother?

If it is then what fuel have you been using :poke:

I bought it at 103k miles, I just use 95 ron though.

I had mine done 2 weeks ago. Even the mechanic in the garage wasn't sure if and how it worked. So he asked me for some feedback. Still doing the mpg sums atm. Cost me £105 for my 2.0i and takes around 30 mins to complete. My mate said just before I was to take it in, that he wouldn't bother with it and just to put petrol additive in the tank. So a bit worried of wasting my money, I Googled it and basicaly they use a more refined version of petrol with the 'secret' formula and decoke your engine without harming any other component parts in the process. My motor has just gone past 92,000 so worth doing as not long owned it. I can def feel a better response from a standing start and hope to see a better mpg return.

Hey "Grizzly9", how are you getting on since you had this done, any improvements you can feel (or even better...measure)?

I am thinking about having this done as a mate of mine has just done it and swears that it has had a significant increase in power since then (perhaps restoring the engine to something closer to its original BHP I would imagine).

Any feedback would be appreciated......
