Tentative FS: Z4M Sport Seats

I am more testing the market to see if a), anyone would want these and b) what kind of price they could fetch...

Essentially I am considering the sale of my Z4M seats. They are about 6 months old (as is the car) and have 14,000 miles wear (ie: virtually none). They look like they just came out of the factory. Obviously they are heated, and electric (with memory), and have the ///M logo recessed in the leather-trim on the headrests. They are trimmed in Black Nappa leather.

This is not a definate sale. I am very weary of selling these, as I want to be able to return my car to near-stock when the time comes to sell, and I figure not many people will be interested in the car in it's modified state, and with racing Recaro's instead of the M sport seats. But for the right money I could be tempted.

kal, I have a ballpark figure in my mind. Basically, these seats cost in the region of £1600 new I believe (or probably more - I need to check really!), but I wouldn't expect that as they're obviously 6 months old. They really do still look new though (will get pictures up!).

Essentially, the higher the offer, the more likely I am to go ahead with the sale and also to accept. I really didn't want to put a figure up, because I haven't really made the final decision to sell them. I guess if someone were to offer up something in the £1k mark, I probably would seriously consider accepting there and then. However, offers in the region of that I'd still consider. I have already had an offer from one user which I am debating over.
 
aha soo u don't have a price in mind, just looking at the offers right ?!

yeah i'm also thinkin about the shipping it might be a problem ! u mean by 1k is 1000 right ?!!
 
Yeah, £1k = £1,000......

Shipping would probably be a bit too expensive, but I'm sure I could look into it if you were serious!

At the risk of upsetting someone who wants these, as you say I would be very wary of selling them. When you come to sell the car, if you don't have the M seats I reckon it will be a major problem and it's not like you can go the dealer and buy them (from memory, are you not looking at £2k+ for each seat from a dealer?).

When I was first looking for a Z4, I asked a dealer to swap the M seats from one car to another - they refused, saying that the computer/key stores the spec, and they didn't want to upset that.

Can't you keep them in the loft or something if you decide to change for buckets?
 
I was thinking and talking about this with a friend over the weekend, and I think I'm going to keep hold of them.... sorry to anyone that PM'd me about purchasing!

However, I did decide that I will sell my standard wheels - as I can't see me needing them again, and CSLs are almost standard now on Z4Ms!
