Tempting M Roadie

 Mostly Holland. Sometimes UK.
Target cars in Eindhoven always seem to have an assortment of nice RHD Bimmers for some reason.
They have 3x M roadies in stock at the mo and this black one has really taken my fancy.
Always been tempted to move up into M territory but slightly put off by S54 wear and maintenance issues, especially worn rod bearings.

He's asking Eur14,950 which seems about fair for a tidy 96k mile example.

Might go and take a look next week and if it's as good in the flesh as it is in the pics I could be tempted to take the plunge.
What are the main things to look out for on an M roadie mechanically?

Can’t say it’s the case for this car but have I not read that they get a lot of accident damaged cars in to their stock and repair them?

Hes had a fair few uk ring-twangers and has always divulged any accident damage.
A check against reg would show any accident history/claims.
Have already emailed him for details/history. See what he comes up with...

Only a viewing , a scan through its history file & a inspection of tyres & brake condition will reveal if its "a fair price" .
It may be OK pricewise over there but it would struggle to gain any interest over here at that ask :(

There is a black one with only 37000 miles that looks to be outstanding, for sale on the Forum for £16000. You could soon spend the difference between the car you are talking about and a car like this where the car and the seller are well known. I hasten to add I have no connection with the seller.

The ///Ms a solid motor. 97k is well run in though. If every thing checks out it will easily due another 50k. As with any car go though the history and give it a decent driving to :driving: Suspension could be tierd. The brakes are pricey so check there is plenty left in them. Doesn't seem particularly cheap from here either. But then we haven't seen the car.

Thx for comments.
Worth a butchers' in any case.
Dont forget €15k is £13.4k. I reckon i could nab it for £12.5k.
Anyone got a link for the 37k miler?

That looks nice Chris, but I'm sure most people reckon on getting the rod bearings done as a preventative measure around the 100K mark.
