It wasn't a whistle it was a fluttering noise around the top of the A pillar right near my ear. Only at 70+ and worse in crosswinds. All sorted now. Gearbox (auto) was lumpy but software updates sorted that mpg is certainly not great in the petrol but the main reason I went petrol is that it's quiet. Possibly the quietest car I've ever been in. Add in air suspension and it's a cocoon to drive me back and forth. Entirely the other end of the spectrum to the Z4
 
So £50 later and all that remains of the damage is a tiny paint scuff thanks to Simon from Express dent removal, top work. Come better weather a good detail and buff should see the bodywork as new.

Ah, well mine seems to have developed into this. As I say, as if the window isn't quite closed and it makes a fluttery, whistling noise.
The light that shines under the drivers wing mirror has now started flashing intermittently and the nav/media screen wouldn't turn on yesterday. Might see if there are any updates available. Was yours called in or did you ask them to check as the gearbox is starting to get annoying now.

Can't fault the air suspension though, certainly helps soak up all the grotty roads down here.
Glad yours is now looking acceptable again.
 
Apart from a scratch from a snotty kid gathering snow off the car it's still top drawer.

I notice everything so I took the car in as soon as I had anything to sort. It's almost flawless now.. However...

The gearbox is still a bit snatchy but as it's not a long term car I've left it.

Will be going back to BMW probably. Car is lovely but a crappy drivetrain in this day and age is unacceptable.

Other than that though the car is stunning.
