I sat in this beast today, 11 months old and 800 miles on the clock, well specced and it looks stunning in Sapphire Black and Ivory Leather. Is this price OK? Dealer says that he has just dropped by £1000 and will not shift further. I am getting a decent price for my p/x.

Looks nice, price is reasonably OK if your trade-in is decent, maybe still on the high side. Is missing bluetooth though, and that could be a problem later, plus it's a nice integration with the nav. The seats can get mucky quite quickly too, although the do look really really nice and the leather is softer than other colours.

A few M Sport models in the coming soon section, depends what you want really.

Agree. The car has sat nav. but no bluetooth and heated seats (popular options for entry level). I have checked the prices of used 23i M Sport, I'm still very happy for what I paid for my brand new one. :)

Still considering Renaultsport Clio, Mike?

Still at the thinking stage but I think it's still on the cards :D

If the Clio is only 2-year lease with low monthly payment, then you have nothing to worry about (all covered by warranty). The car should not need work every month. I had a Renault 19 ages ago, which gave me headache and never trust French cars again.

Mines was £31k with the ivory white, as part of Havana package drivers seat gets dirty where seatbelt rubs on the bit behind right shoulder.
Heated seats and full extended leather but not nav or Bluetooth. Mine was not registered and had 3 miles on clock.
I was happy ripped off or not

Thanks all for your comments. I did notice lack of bluetooth and heated seats, not a deal breaker for me particularly but hear what you say about resale. The white looks great but clean clothes only allowed! I am not sure how easy it would be to keep clean. Seems that PDC is an absolute must, being that the car lenght is hard to judge, the Nav and iDrive was actually very good compared to previous generations.

Should I play hard to get for a few days and try and squeeze some more out of them? p/x is fine, they are putting 6 months tax on it but have said that they will not come down on price. It is 12 months old next month......... I squeezed the finance rate down to 5% flat (PCP), suspect there is more there but business manager says not!

Don't forget that you have to pay nearly £300 for the admin. charge with the first payment if you take out BMW Finance, and another final purchase fee with the final payment (about £100). What is the equivalent APR of 5% flat rate?

I guess it is a demo car. Even so, it is the cheapest 23i with sat. nav and lowest mileage on BMW website. I prefer the white one (£31k) with black leather and 19" wheel (fully loaded).

I didn't get the PDC and don't drive it as much as my wife so find the long bonnet hard to judge sometimes
The alcantara and white leather isn't that bad to keep clean just the bit mentioned before. I had ours treated though by the dealer before buying. Try some of that as they were doing three years servicing on née cars etc -although six months after we bought ours. Try to get them to throw in stuff that would Vostok you lots but them not too much

It wasn't a demo, it was a private sale, originally from the dealer in Chester - Helliwell Jones? The admin fee with the first payment is £174 I think, still stings a bit. APR is about 10%.

Borrowing from the bank can save you admin fee and interest. Santander and Sainsbury's currently charge 7.9% APR for a loan of £10k over 3 years. I only used BMW Finance once.

Thank you for all your constructive comments. I have not yet responded to the dealer, other than to let them know that I am still thinking about their deal. meanwhile, tomorrow I am off to visit my local (and favoured) BMW dealer - Bateman BMW in the South Lakes, to see what they can offer to beat the Williams BMW deal. I know they can access ex BMW management cars with minimal mileage and decent options so will be interesting to see what is available. I also take the point about the M Sport ones becoming available on AUC. This beauty appeals and ticks all the boxes...

It's much better than the black one. I like it apart from the red leather. Go for it even if you have to pay asking price. :) M Sport is worth the £2k extra. I think that car will go very fast, so it will be hard (or impossible) to get any money off. Phone Sytner first thing in the morning to secure it.

They do look nice in white but look meaner in black! :P

The M sport kit looks OK in white also as I'm not normally a big fan of the wheels or rear bumper!

The ivory white seats aren't that bad to keep clean to be honest! Mine are still good with 15,000 miles on the clock now. Agreed on the mark that keeps appearing on the top of the seat from the seat belt? Only on the passenger side? I've even cleaned the seat belt so it must be getting onto the seat belt from inside the panel?

Only on drivers side on mine?? :? :?

Went into my preferred dealer today to discuss Z4s. I drove their demo MSport sDrive 23i in Melbourne Red, I like it a lot. The cabin is a very nice place to be and the MSport 19s are out of this world! The only gripe was the standard BMW issue of corrosion on the wheel hubs and brake callipers - really noticeable on the wide spoked alloys, a real problem that BMW should sort out once and for all. I love the Zed4 though - it could be a car that I actually keep for longer than 6 months! The sales manager spoke with BMW and found that there are no BMW used stock with my spec - MSport+19s+Nav, or standard spec+a19s+Nav. There was one car to tempt me from BMW stock:
Sep 09 (59) Sapphire Black sDrive 23i - 6500 miles
Coral Red Leather
Light Alloy 18s style 294
Windscreen with shade band
wind deflector
Brushed Alu trim
Ext/Int folding mirrors
Sports seats
Ext storage
Seat heating
PDC f+r
Rain sensor
USB interface
Nav - Prof
BMW assist + online
Bluetooth + telematics

Cost £30500. Great spec, but no 19s. The finance package is OK and compares favourably with the original car from Manchester. My thoughts are to hold out for an MSport though - they look so good with the M Sport package and 19s!

I noticed that problem just a week after my car was collected. Now before I lock the car, I always leave the latch plates (both driver and passenger side) a few inches above the button on the seat belt. The marks disappeared. The mark is caused by latch plate resting on the seat at the same position for long period.
